Historically the Society needed to retain borrowers’ title deeds where a mortgage is held in favour of the Society.
Following a review, the Society has concluded this is no longer necessary. We wrote to borrowers in early 2019 to let them know that, unless otherwise advised, title deeds would be returned to them.
