Giving back to communities has been part of our ethos since we were established in 1848, and as we celebrate our 175th anniversay we're proud to have launched the Scottish Building Society Foundation in partnership with Foundation Scotland.

Our Community Impact
With an initial funding of £175,000, the Scottish Building Society Foundation will support many important charities and community groups across Scotland for years to come.
Individual grants of up to £5,000 are available to organisations across Scotland, and applications for funding to support the following causes are particularly welcome:

Community facilities and services, transport, open spaces, affordable housing, community development, reduction of poverty, and care for the elderly

Community and/or local events

Youth and education, providing training opportunities and support for vulnerable youngsters
